Phoenix police say a suspected car thief in a stolen car pulled a gun on a woman and child at a west Phoenix gas station. Police later stopped the car and after a short foot pursuit, shot the suspect when he turned toward an officer with the gun.

Phoenix police exchanged gunfire with masked gunman after a home invasion in which a resident was fatally shot. A Phoenix police spokesman stated that the suspects forced their way inside the house where they demanded drugs. Police responding to the call chased a vehicle leaving the scene and traded shots with them after they were stopped. No police were injured.
