Old Phoenix Mayor Makes Young Phoenix Mayor Break Ankle

Former Phoenix Mayor Paul Johnson would not move out of current Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon’s way in a jog this morning resulting in Gordon breaking his friggin foot.

Johnson’s comments:

“The thing I like most about this is I’m definitely faster than him now.”

Phoenix to Bid on the 2008 Republican National Convention

Phoenix is one of 31 cities that the RNC courted to put a bid on hosting the 2008 Republican Convention.

The basic requirements included a convention center with a 20,500 person capacity, 20k+ hotel rooms, 2k suites, and the hosting city providing and paying for security.

Bush Attacks Those Who Hate Freedom and Love Terror

Bush spoke to a group of veterans today about those who want to re-write the historical reason s for liberating the Iraqi people.

He (Bush) said those critics have made those allegations although they know that a Senate investigation “found no evidence” of political pressure to change the intelligence community’s assessments related to Saddam’s weapons program.

But the committee deferred the much more politically sensitive issue as to whether the president and the vice president themselves, or other administration officials, misrepresented intelligence information to bolster the case to go to war. An Intelligence Committee spokesperson says the panel is still working on this second phase of the investigation.
