A South Phoenix Neighborhood was in lockdown Friday night after a high speed chase on the I-10 ended with a crash after reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour. The suspects, Bobby Ortega and Thomas Carrasco, were wanted for at least 16 robberies and were believed to have been armed. More from Fox News.
According to this USA Today article both planes were connected to flight training schools at Deer Valley Airport in North Phoenix. The Cessna, which was burnt so badly that the gender of the individuals killed could not be determined was associated with West Wind Aviation and the Piper was associated with TransPac Aviation Academy.
Border Patrol agents discovered skeletal remains west of Tucson according to KTAR. The cause of death is not clear.
