“Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of a woman whose murdered body was found in her burning home Tuesday night.

A neighbor in the area of 56th Street and Carefree Highway in Cave Creek called to report the home was on fire about 8 p.m. Tuesday, said Deputy Lindsey Smith, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.

By the time Rural-Metro firefighters arrived to put out the blaze, half of the house was engulfed in flames, but deputies discovered the body of a White female in her mid-30s in a part of the home untouched by the fire, Smith said.”
