Bobby Seale to speak in Phoenix on February 20th
One of the original “Chicago Eight” and chairman of the Black Panther Party, Bobby Seale is speaking at the Bulpitt Auditorium at Phoenix College on the 20th. Admission is free.
Seale was one of seven others charged with conspiracy and inciting riot during the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
I appreciate your posting this. I attended this event (which I will post about shortly to finally initiate my blog). Outside of the organization that (poorly) promoted the event, you and the New Times were the only places I could find that advertised this event. So, again, thank you for posting this.
