A collaboration between Greenpeace and scientists are tracking humpback whales in the South Pacific via satellite.
In order to draw attention to the campaign, called The Great Whale Trail Expedition, Greenpeace asked their website visitors to name one of the humpbacks being tracked.
Web visitors submitted names like Aurora, Mira, Manami, and Kigai.
But this being the Internet, it’s no surprise that Mister Splashy Pants ran away with 68% of the votes.

A man and woman were found dead by their relative this morning but the Arizona Republic doesn’t say much about it. The address is near the Avondale homes in a subdivision surrounding a lake. Most of the homes are on the lake and I think some of them may actually have docks. I’ll post a picture if I can find one.
Police found an Avondale couple dead in their home Sunday morning.
A relative called police at 10:42 a.m. Sunday when she discovered the bodies on West Olive Drive and North 113th Lane, near Thomas Road and Garden Lakes Parkway.
Police don’t believe any additional parties were involved in the deaths, but are still on the scene investigating.
