Phoenix Golf Courses
Phx411.com is adding a new feature – golf courses reviews. Here’s a sample of the first few reviews:
Coldwater Golf Course:
Coldwater Golf Course is a beatufilly landscaped and cheap Avondale golf course. Coldwater is one of the best values for golf in Avondale.
The recognition that Coldwater Golf Course has received only reinforces this value. Coldwater has been voted the ‘Best Course to Play on a Budget’ in the entire metropolitan area.
The course itself is distinguised by striking elevations between tee boxes and fairways. The hazards can be tricky as they blend with the sonoran landscape of the course.
Summer range fees go as low as $21 and winter fees are as high as $49. All rates include golf carts.
Bellair Golf Course:
The Bellair Golf Course in Glendale is a short 3,800 yard par 59 18 hole course. Bellair has thirteen par 3s and five par 4s.
A Hardin, Lawrence and Nash designed course, Bellair is a traditional course. Unlike other courses in the area, Bellair isn’t desert landscaped. But offers great shade and plenty of very green fairways. A great break from the heat in the summer.
The course is located in the midst of a housing development so the fairways are relatively narrow.
Bellair Golf Course is pretty quick on the weekdays but gets a little backed up on some weekend days. But the rangers are pretty good at keeping pace.
Bellair Golf Course green fees range from $12 to $30 depending on season. For exact green fees and to reserve tee times, call the Bellair clubhouse at 602-978-0330.
Bellair has a full proship and restaurant that serves food and alcohol.
