Arizona’s attorney general’s office buys Hells Angel’s clubhouse
The state will pay a member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club $102,500 to wrest control of the bikers’ clubhouse and oust the group from their longtime Sunnyslope hangout.
At a court-ordered auction this week, the state Attorney General’s Office outbid Bob Eberhardt for ownership of the 1,800-square-foot structure that has been used for twice-weekly Hells Angels gatherings since 1999.
Although the winning bid was $205,000, the state will have to shell out only half that. State officials obtained a half interest in the property under forfeiture laws, with the Hells Angels retaining the other half. The home is valued at $150,000.
