Man shot in road rage incident

Published by Administrator under Metro Area News

Police are looking for a man who shot another man during a road rage incident.

It happened near 15th Avenue and Camelback Road just after 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said two drivers were fighting over a lane, when one of them pulled out a gun and started shooting.

Witnesses heard the gunshots and saw the second driver careening out of control. That man nearly missed hitting a townhouse with his vehicle.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, and his injuries don’t appear to be life threatening, officials said.

A passenger in his car was uninjured. The shooting suspect was driving a silver Chevy pickup truck with an extended cab. If you have any information call Phoenix police.

Border town police chief gunned down in front of his office by suspected drug runners

Published by Administrator under Metro Area News

Police in the border city of Agua Prieta were on high alert for further violence Tuesday after gunmen killed the police chief of Agua Prieta in a well-coordinated ambush.

Police chief Ramón Tacho Verdugo was leaving his office at about 5 p.m. Monday when gunmen in two vehicles – a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Jeep Liberty – opened fire with assault rifles, said José Larrinaga, spokesman for the Sonora state attorney general.

The gunmen fired at least 40 bullets, wounding Tacho in the chest, stomach and leg, Larrinaga said.

“They shot him down just as he was reaching his car,” Larrinaga said.

Tacho Verdugo underwent emergency at the Latino Hospital in Agua Prieta, but died about 90 minutes later, Larrinaga said.

He said state and local police had reinforced security in the city and were patrolling against further attacks.

Investigators suspected drug traffickers but were unsure of the exact motive, since there had been no major raids or arrests in recent months, Larrinaga said.

Glendale teens arrested for counterfeit cash

Published by Administrator under Metro Area News

School officials say they first got word about the counterfeit cash when a Washington Mutual bank contacted them to say counterfeit cash had been traced back to the school cafeteria. They didn’t know who the perpetrators were though, until one of the students paid a cafeteria worker with a bogus $20 and she noticed it felt funny. Turns out iw was funny money and the kid had more than $1,200 of it. The Secret Service and U.S. Treasury Department were called in and the students could face some pretty major charges. At this point it looks as though they made the fake cash using a home computer, printer and washing machine.

Man who was tied up by vampire on Valentines Day tells about the experience

Published by Administrator under Metro Area News

The man who was tied up, stabbed several times during sex, and watched as the woman he was with drank his blood is speaking only to ABC15.

Robert McDaniel, 43, spoke exclusively to us hours after having more than 150 stitches removed from across his body. McDaniel says he met 24-year-old Tiffany Sutton about a month ago and the two got together on Valentine’s Day. While undressing, she asked if he was interested in “kinky” sex and being tied up.

McDaniel says he agreed and moments later, Sutton pulled out three knives with skulls on them and began slashing him.

“You wouldn’t expect this type of thing is going to happen during sex, but that’s exactly what happened, she tied me up and just began the assault,” McDaniel said.

McDaniel paints a horrific picture of bleeding from his back, arms, stomach and thigh while being chased by Sutton, who was armed with a pickaxe.
