San Carlos hotel to add 29 stories?

A developer has proposed adding on 29 stories to the top of the old San Carlos hotel creating a 36 floor hotel with 400 rooms. The developer also wants to add a sports bar, spa, and retail shops to the ground floor and a possibly a TV studio in the basement.

The 34th floor would host a sports bar, dance floor, and cascading waterfalls.

The 8th floor would include a river flowing through a “virtual reality tunnel”, water slide, wave pool, and sharks.

Thousands of pounds of marijuana seized in Glendale home

Police found what they believe to be as much as 9,000 pounds of marijuana in a Glendale home Wednesday. The raid occurred near 83rd avenue and Bell.
