Karsten Golf Course is considered by many to be
the best public course in Tempe as well as the best collegiate
course in the Southwest.
This 18 hole, links style course sits under the
south side of ASU's 'A' mountain and is surrounded by a univeristy
setting. Karsten has received accolades from the Golf Digest Rating
Panel and has been played by Phil Mickelson and Billy Mayfair.
The clubhouse houses an ASU-themed pro shop and
a bar and grill frequented by golfers and after-work sports fans.
Green fees vary by season. They are as high as $108
in the winter and as low as $32 in the summer.
Karsten is a challenging play with bunker, water,
and sand hazards.
