#1: Calabria Grocery and deli is one of those newer businesses in downtown Phoenix that make you feel like we'll really have a downtown someday soon. Located around new condos, upscale apartments and buildings being converted to lofts, Calabria really does feel like a city deli here in Phoenix.

They have half-a-dozen sandwiches specialty on hoagie rolls and every one I've tried is excellent and gigantic - stuffed with meat and veggies.

In addition to the specialty sandwhiches, or if you're looking for something a little cheaper the also your standard fare subs - ham, roast beef, chicken salad etc. But I would recommend spending that extra dollar.
